I received a letter from Heaven.
The transfer process had started and will be complete this night. signed Heaven’s Welcome Team.
A volcano erupted in my heart, blinding light shot out in all directions, and then came peace, and warmth, and calm. And then I felt nothing but peace and warmth and light. And I was calm.
It wasn’t a physical letter, nor an email, nor any other media I knew. I just knew I got it, in my mind, in my heart, in my spirit. And this letter felt more real than if I was holding one in my hands.
My wife was already in bed. She set the alarm for tomorrow, and laid down her phone. Do I tell her? How do I tell her? I cannot show the letter to her. How could I? It’s in my mind. Or heart. I dont event know.. What does this mean?
Well, I know what this means. I’m going to die this night! And go to Heaven! What do I do? Does she see the light? Am I glowing?
“Jenny.”
“What?” She was looking at me, expecting a question. But nothing else.
She didn’t see any light, she didn’t see any change.
“Ah,.. good night.”
“Good night.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
I looked at the phone. 10:18pm. What do I do? And why am I not panicking? Why am I not afraid? Why so calm? What is this peace? And this light feels so good, I feel almost weightless. I want to run, jump, leap into the air.
Am I going to see Jesus tomorrow? Angels? Seraphim? God..? Will I fly? Take the Heavenly Express?
I forgot that I lost my job four month ago and have an interview tomorrow, thirteenth one this week. I forgot that there is a recession in the economy. I forgot about the war in Ukraine. I forgot that the world is advancing in AI. I forgot that I am to preach next Friday at the prayer meeting. I forgot my friends. I forgot my kids. I forgot I was laying in my bed. I simply was. And I was feeling the weightless, warm, calm, pure light. And this light was in me, in every fiber and cell and molecule of me.
My wife is staring at me.
Did I do something?
Am I floating?
“Could you turn off your light,” she said.
I wanted to laugh out loud. She means she wants me to turn off the nightstand lamp. Not the light that is in me.
“Oh yes.” I reached over to the knob and turned it.
“Don’t forget you have the interview tomorrow. This would be good for us. Let’s pray that it will go well, and if God thinks this job would be a blessing to us, let Him give you the position.”
“Yes.”
We prayed.
“Good night. I love you.”
“I love you too. Good night.” Do I tell her? Do I tell her? What do I tell her? That I feel like I will die this night?
She seemed fast asleep, but I couldn’t sleep. I wasn’t afraid to fall asleep, some part of me wanted to so badly, but if I won’t wake up tomorrow, I needed to make sure my family will be ok. I quietly got out of bed and went to the office. Then wrote a short note with my main passwords to the important accounts, how to access my computer, wrote some instructions on what to do with the rental houses, how to collect life insurance, who to contact with what questions, etc.; this will save so much time and worry in the future. Somehow I felt like I was observing myself doing all this practical stuff, while all I really was thinking was about what will tomorrow be like. And why am I not bothered by this. Finishing the letter, I went to the kids rooms and looked in on them. They slept soundly. I kissed each on the cheek. How precious they are. Then I called mom and told her that I have a strange feeling about this night and asked her to call my wife tomorrow morning to check in on her, I reassured her that everything is ok, just an odd feeling. Then I came back to bed, undressed and went to sleep. Just like that. What else was I to do?
The process of transfer will happen this night.
When I woke up the next morning, everything seemed the same. My wife’s side of the bed was empty, and I heard chatter in the kitchen. Jenny was getting the kids ready for school. (She gets them ready, I drive them to school. She gets to sleep in if she wants to after we leave, I get to wake up a half-hour later).
I got up and went to the bathroom, washed my face, brushed my teeth. Everything stayed the same, oh well. Maybe it just seemed that something happened yesterday, you know, you get that feeling and are so sure, but.
There is no evil. Not here, not anywhere. Evil is in the Lake of Fire along with death and the devil. Lake of Fire stayed on earth, and earth had passed away. The earth ran, and no place was found for it. signed Heaven’s Welcome Team.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!?????
But there was no frustration. Not even for a moment. It probably wasn’t even there in the first place. Just thoughts, calm and collected thoughts. What does that mean? No evil? Nowhere in the world? Should I test it? But I didn’t feel the need, I just trusted that it is so.
I had no distrust! I accepted it so easily, the message and the fact that I don’t have distrust. I just trusted that there is no evil anywhere.
I went to the kitchen. How are the kids and wife? What is different? How are they different? I stood around the corner just to listen. They all talked, and chatted, and commented, and ate, and packed backpacks and lunches. Everything was natural and usual. No overly polite language, or manners, nobody sang phrases in angelic voices, just regular kids and regular morning.
“Good morning all. We got to leave in a few minutes. Finish up and get ready!” I said. Then kissed my wife, wished her a good day and we left to school.
Something did change though. I felt weightless, and warm, and calm. Like the light.
And the feeling was there to stay.
